In Costa Rica, the economy grew 4.6% in 2025; inflation was -1.2% in 2025, the lowest of the 14. Poverty reaches 15.2% of the population (2025, 1st of 13) and unemployment is 7.5% (2024). Costa Rica is among the three best placed on GDP growth, GDP per capita at purchasing power parity, inflation, poverty rate, upper-secondary completion rate, education spending, life expectancy at birth and share of households online. Its education spending (2023) figure is older than the rest of the region’s.
