Personal data

Privacy

You can explore public data without signing in. Subscriptions, saved views, metrics and AI questions use the data described below. Last updated: October 5, 2026.

What we collect

We store your email address when you subscribe to VerDat Signals, turn on an entity or view watch, or request access to your personal space, including before you confirm the link. Subscriptions store your country and topic preferences; watches store the selected entity or view and its data baseline to detect changes. Update emails start only after you confirm from your inbox.

AI questions and source records

We retain questions sent to the assistant, its responses and cited records in a private audit archive for one year. Access is limited to authorized staff. Questions and the necessary source rows are processed by AI providers to generate answers. The archive does not include access keys, cookies or IP addresses. Avoid including confidential information in your questions.

What your browser stores

Without a connected personal space, saved views and entities live in your browser’s local storage. When you connect your space, views are also stored on our servers with the access email so they can sync between browsers; saved entities remain local. Disconnecting the space or letting a session expire does not delete the workspace stored on the server.

Usage metrics

We record first-party, aggregate usage events (for example, that a signal was viewed or a CSV downloaded) with an ephemeral session identifier. We use no advertising cookies or third-party trackers, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Email and unsubscribing

We only send what you subscribed to. Country or topic selections are checked once a week and the general briefing once a month; if no findings clear the editorial threshold, we send nothing. Watches only alert you to material changes. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe or stop the watch.

Controller and requests

The service is operated by the OEI’s VerDat PIDA program. To access, correct, or delete your data, contact the OEI through its official channels.
