How we calculated it

We query series life_expectancy_years of dataset wb-wdi-anual (World Bank) for Bolivia from 2000 to 2024 in VerDat's normalised layer and check that no year in the series matches or exceeds the 2024 value. We require at least 15 years of series and a gap of at least 10 years. The chart reproduces the query; the values are re-verified automatically every day.

25 rows match the query; 25 results remain in the summary.

What it means and what it does not

The series comes from the World Bank harmonised dataset rather than national methodology, so it may differ from Bolivia's official national figures. This record high describes where the country stands relative to its own past, not the underlying causes. Revisions to earlier years can also change the date of the record.

Annual values; rates are percentages, GDP, GNI and remittances are US dollars, population is people, life expectancy is years — never sum across indicators.
