How we calculated it

We run a read-only query against colombia_tenders using the publication_date index. We include dates from June 1, 2026 through before July 1, count each process id once, and group by procurement_method. The 16 methods sum exactly to 73,096 records; the chart shows the ten methods with the most processes while retaining the complete denominator. We also preserve the twelve latest records from the month, joined by procuring_entity_id to the official entity name. We do not sum values because the public response does not expose a trustworthy currency.

What it means and what it does not

The method determines different procedures and controls, but its frequency does not establish evasion, contract splitting, or wrongdoing. We count process records by publication date rather than awarded contracts or payments; some methods have specific legal justifications that must be reviewed case by case.

Results are paginated and limit is capped at 100 rows per request.
