How we calculated it
We run a read-only query against the indexed table that feeds the Dominican API. We fix the release at 06:10 UTC on July 12, 2026, include start_date from the preceding 30 days through that instant, and count each process once grouped by procurement_method. The nine categories sum exactly to 5,651 processes. We also preserve the twelve latest records from the same window. We do not use the public method filter because the audit confirmed that it currently returns the unfiltered total.

What it means and what it does not
The method indicates which procedure and controls apply, but a high share does not establish contract splitting or wrongdoing. The source counts processes rather than awarded contracts, and the moving window includes every status, including cancelled, unsuccessful, and suspended processes.
Tender search is bounded to the last 30 days by default. Increase days deliberately for wider historical windows; days is capped at 365. Results are paginated and limit is capped at 100 rows per request.
