Findings
According to the harmonised ECLAC series started in 1999, the figure rose by 7.1 percentage points from 37.7% in 2024. The last year with an equal or higher record was 2011, when it reached 45.1%.
Across the 26 years of ECLAC's population series using national figures, no value fell below 17.3%. Compared to 2024 (19%), the rate decreased by 1.7 percentage points.
According to harmonised ECLAC data, no year in the 27-year series falls below 16%. The figure represents a 3.6 percentage point decrease compared to the 19.6% recorded in 2024.
